    Make Other People More Successful:

Real networking is about making other people more successful. Whether you are sharing your knowledge, time, experience, contacts or referrals it is critical to provide lots of value and benefit to others on a consistent and regular basis.

No one ever remembers how much you receive, but they will always remember how much value and benefit you gave.

    Greetings [FLN - Members]:

Building connections takes time, energy and effort.

Simply meeting someone and handing them a business card, does not create a connection. Accepting friend requests on LinkedIn/Facebook, etc.. does not create a connection.

Simply joining an outstanding network of attorneys and professionals and providing your contact information will not create a connection.

It actually takes time, dedication and discipline over an extended period of time to properly build, develop and maintain valuable connections.

It's not random, it's not luck, and it's not possible without actually connecting with the other person.

So if you are still looking for ideas and strategies on building valuable connections that will undoubtedly lead to some great opportunities and benefits, you must take action.

Don't wait around for things to happen. Create a plan and implement it.

Make sure you have a power lunch on your calendar. Unless you participate in these valuable [FLN - Power Lunches] on a consistent and regular basis, you will definitely miss valuable opportunities to maintain and solidify your connections.

Next, reach out to a fellow [FLN - Member] and coordinate an Individual Meeting (IM). Don't wait for folks to knock on your door. Simply pick a date on your calendar that you are available, and find someone to fill the spot.

There are lots of hours every week to connect with someone for breakfast, lunch or coffee and still get your work done. Therefore, time is really not a barrier, when your objective is clear.

Remember - how we spend our time is just as important as who we spend our time with.

On that note, make it a great day, and I sincerely look forward to connecting with many of you at the upcoming Chapter meeting.

    Greetings Everyone:

As we enter the final few months of 2018, here are some important thoughts and strategies.

If you really want to make the most of your [FLN - Membership] and the valuable connections around you, you must have the following three items on your calendar at all times:

    1. The monthly Chapter meetings

Not only it is essential to maintain your [FLN - Membership], but since the [FLN - Chapter] meetings only occur once per month, it is critical that fellow members see you on a regular basis. If you are not attending consistently, it will have a direct impact on the quality and sincerity of your connections.

    2. The [FLN - Power Lunches]

Undoubtedly, one of the most effective and efficient ways for [FLN - Members] to build, develop and maintain valuable connections. As always, if you are unable to attend when your group is meeting, then take the initiative and join another group.

    3. [FLN - IMs] - (Individual Meetings)

Whether its breakfast, lunch, or a quick coffee - connecting with fellow members individually can be a great and powerful way to enhance and maintain your valuable connections with friends and colleagues. Simply pick someone from the Chapter, and coordinate a meeting.

Relationships and meaningful connections are built one person at a time with diligence, dedication and commitment.

Don't wait for opportunities to arise - create them.

Mondays are a great time to review your strategies, so take a quick moment and place these 3 items on your calendar and make things happen.

As always, make it a great day, and I sincerely look forward to connecting with you soon.
